Project description/

Facade optimisation and development of design guidance

Summary/

The aim of this project was to develop a design framework for that would help in the design process, by assessing an excess of 10,000 simulations and ranking them according to the desired objectives. In this case, the objectives were energy consumption and thermal comfort. To help post-process the data effectively and create clear conclusions an interactive parallel coordinates plot was used where the designer can instantly identify the impact of the parameters that were included in the study. The images below indicate how the user can quickly select the design parameters and filter out results out of the total pool of available data.
