Our services

We have extensive experience in the construction industry, with professional exposure that includes office, industrial, educational, retail and residential projects. We are able to provide design input on important matters such as daylight, energy, thermal comfort and raise the overall quality of the design.

Parametric Optimisation

Parametric optimisation studies can help carry out a large number of iterative simulations and assess a wide range of potential scenarios against a set of objectives, in a small amount of time.

This is especially useful when conducting early stage massing studies, assessing a wide range of facade scenarios or generally comparing a large number of potential design choices.

Numerous aspects can all be assessed in parallel, such as daylight, energy, thermal comfort, cost, carbon emissions etc

Examples of optimisation studies can be:

  • Finding the optimum facade design that balances daylight levels and radiant temperature

  • Finding the optimum set of construction materials that secure low carbon emissions with small construction cost

  • Finding the optimum external shading design that can maximise winter solar gains and minimise summer solar gains

The video indicates how the algorithm identifies the optimum solution that balances daylight and summer solar gains.
